This part is basically related to financial and management means Value of Money, Time, Interest, Compound Interest etc. Before solving the numerical based on Bond yields and Price of Bonds one should cover these topics. As the valuation process needs to have a clear concept on the financial terms such as the fair value (or par value), bonds etc. The valuation of bonds is a process which involves calculating the present value of a bond's, expected future coupon payments, or cash flow and the bond's value upon maturity date, or face value of the bond. As bond's par value and interest payments are set, bond valuation helps the investors to figure out at what rate of return would make a bond investment worth of cost for him or her. Questions may be based on either theory or practical such as how to calculate the value of bond or from theory as what is the meaning or definition, types, characteristics, calculation formula etc. For numerical part on Accounting Ratios, Balance Sheet and Income sheet basic conceptual understanding of the balance sheets and Income sheets is necessary.
